HAGÅTÑA (April 2016): Early this month, Ayuda Foundation coordinated and organized (2) large book donations to FSM organizations in need. The books were donated by Guam Department of Education and St. John’s Catholic School. GDOE donated (3) 40 ft. containers full of textbooks and St. John’s donated (1) 20 ft. container of library books/ textbooks. The GDOE donation is on route thanks to Ayuda Foundations’ partner, Matson Navigation, Inc. to the Catholic Mission School and Prison Library in Pohnpei and the Akoyikoyi School in Weno, Chuuk. The private school’s donations are being shipped out thanks to the United States Coast Guard’s Community Relations program to the Awak Elementary School in U Municipality of Pohnpei. GDOE surveyed all donations that were donated without cost. Ayuda Foundation would like to thank the dedicated volunteers who loaded the books and their partners, Pacific Island Movers and Pacific Trucking who provided ground transportation.
All contents of the shipments have been provided to the end users without charge. No monies were involved in any of the activities.
